#followFriday – 25th June 2010 – #ff
Here’s this week’s list of people on Twitter that I’ve found interesting, and worth a #followFriday shoutout!
For the latest updates & insights into the FIFA World Cup in South Africa:
From the world of video game journalism, this week I’ve mainly been tweeting:
#shoutout : the prologue
Every once in a while somebody enters your life that makes you change in some way.
It could be a simple thing, like starting to read a different author, experiencing new foods & cultures on a holiday, or considering daily challenges from a different perspective.
It could be much more.
The extra time somebody takes to help you develop and improve a life skill, like reading or writing. Picking you up when you are low, and inspiring you to face the world with a smile.
It could be a life-long friend, a family member, a colleague, a teacher, a stranger.
They could enter your life relatively unnoticed, and remain close for some time.
Sometimes the person can arrive in a chaotic whirling dervish of mayhem, excitement, surprise and challenge, before disappearing in the same manner.
I would like to honour the people that have touched my life in such ways, and say “thank you”; make amends for when I’ve been unable at the time.
I’ll be blogging my thanks, my reasons, my changes, my regrets and my smiles right here!
All posts will begin #shoutout and copied over to the forthcoming #shoutouts web page link (above), as well as my Twitter account.
Please feel free to contribute your own #shoutout posts by contacting me via comment replies to my posts, or on Twitter: @L0XY
